The news of Gucci, the Italian luxury fashion house, pledging to give a hefty amount of 2 million euros has recently been making it to the highlights. Marco Bizzarri, the brand’s CEO, personally donated 100,000$ to the Italian hospitals as well.
By donating money to two different crowdfunding campaigns, the brand has helped the Italian Civil Protection Department as well as the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. In this way, Gucci has proved that it does care about social and humanitarian causes; and is willing to help the scientists in their endeavor to design COVID’19 vaccines and cures.
2 Kering

Kering, a French multinational luxury group, is known for its lucrative and eye-catching clothes, bags, shoes, jewelry, and much more! Being a parent company to Gucci and many more notable names, the group does a multibillion business every year. However, this time, the corporation has been in the news for a different and bigger reason.
Kering made an announcement to donate 3 million euros, and also to produce at least a million face masks and protective gowns. This is indeed heart-warming to see the clothing and luxury brands come forward for the sake of humanity!
3 Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Saint Laurent is no exception when it comes to playing a part in fight against Corona virus. This fashion clothing and luxury brand has joined hands with Balenciaga to mass produce surgical face masks. The brand has already ordered its workers to make face masks in its French workshops. Bravo!
4 Luis vuitton

LVMH is indeed a popular name in the line of luxury goods and high-fashion! The brand announced recently that it has donated around $2.2 million to China in its fight against the deadly COVID’19.
Previously known for its scents, perfumes, clothes, bags, and cosmetics; the brand has decided to act according to the need of the current times; and has ordered all its perfume factories to mass produce sanitizers in order to aid the health workers in France. Smart move for sure.
5 Chiara Ferragni
Chiara Ferragni has been deemed as a big name amongst fashion entrepreneurs in Italy. She is known for launching her fashion collections. However, this time, Chiara has started her own fundraising campaign to help the COVID’19 victims.
Her campaign has been successful and she has collected $4 million so far, and the donations are still being collected. She aims to donate the money to help the Italian hospitals.
6 Prada

Who doesn’t love Prada? Well, now we all have yet another reason to love this brand. The clothing and luxury fashion brand has pledged to donate more than a 100,000 medical masks to help the healthcare workers. They also said that they will be making the medical gowns and masks at their factory located in Umbria.
It is indeed a great response by Prada after the Italian government requested all fashion brands to come forward and donate. The company explained that it will be producing loose-fit cotton masks for protecting the face while coughing. Moreover, the brand also said that it will be donating for the two new ICUs in Milan’s hospitals.
7 Versace
Versace is well-known for its high quality leather clothes and fashion accessories! In the current grim situation of COVID’19, the brand’s owner Donatella Versace announced that the brand will be donating around $200,000 for the ICUs in the hospitals of Milan.
8 bulgari
Bulgari has not lagged behind the other fashion brands when it came to helping the COVID’19 patients. The brand came forward to donate in order to support and fund research carried out at the Istituto Lazzaro Spallanzani located in Rome.
The high-end luxury brand decided to donate for the cause of purchasing a technological system that shows microscopic images of the COVID-19 virus.
9 giorgio Armani

Yet another Italian luxury fashion brand, Giorgio Armani announced that it is donating $1.4 million to the Italian hospitals. The brand showed solidarity with the corona virus patients and supported the cause of fighting the deadly virus by donating. Therefore the Italian label has converted some industries to produce disposable gowns.
10 Balenciaga
The Spanish ready-to-wear luxury brand has collaborated with Yves Saint Laurent to mass produce the protective masks which are needed by the medical personnel while treating the COVID’19 patients. Wearing face masks reduces chances of contracting the virus and spreading it to others.
Therefore, it is pretty evident that the European clothing and fashion brands are putting efforts to fight this pandemic; and have showed solidarity towards the COVID’19 patients.
