The Best apps for a greener life

9 April 2019 By 10 Comments

We are bombarded every day with tips for a sustainable life, but, actually, it’s very hard to remember and put in practice all of them. Here a list of the best apps that help you to make greener choices without feeling it the weight.

OLIO

Olio connects you with neighbors and local businesses to reduce food waste. Whenever someone has a surplus of food, this can be shared with the people that live nearby. Founders Tessa and Saasha take care of the environment and they couldn’t accept all this waste of food. The average British family throws away £700 worth of food each year. That adds up to £12.5 billion… £12.5 billion that is going straight to landfill. An interesting app, able to help also disadvantage citizens.

Joule Bug

The main goal of Goule Bug is driving your choices to be sustainable while having fun. After you’ve filled in your information, discover the tasks and take actions, when you have achieved a goal, you can share with friends and neighbors. You can challenge other people and lastly, you can track your impact and consider possible improvements.

Sustainable Development Goals

The SDG app it update you about the most important challenges of our time: poverty, access to energy and issues regarding the environment. It’s the perfect tool for staying tuned and participate actively. You can keep track of your activity and actions in a dedicated panel. A nice source for interactive information.

Refresh and go green

This app promises you to build a greener lifestyle, trough 52 simple steps. Divided per task, you will deal with energy, chemical, water, waste, and biodiversity. Help the planet has positive effects also on your health and, not secondary, on your wallet. With Refresh and Go Green you will keep track of all these aspects, makes you fell really proud.

How Good

How Good analyzes and rates food production. The research team collects data in partnership with Academy, Analysts, and experts. They rank different companies considering several elements, such as growing guidelines, processing practices, and corporate conduct. The organization has rated over 250,000 products, with only 5% of the industry earning the highest rating.

Paper Karma

Tired of postal junk mails? Sometimes it can be very annoying to trash all the catalogs received on a weekly basis. Easy!  take a snap of the magazine and send it to PaperKarma, mentioning your postal address. Trough a massive database of companies, they will submit a request on your behalf. Two problems solved at the same time!

VeganMaps

I conclude my article with a useful map for vegetarians or vegan. Vegan maps it allows you to plan lunches and dinners without stress. A app that keeps up with the times, not just with restaurants, but also with bars, shops, and hotels, all vegan-friendly. Integrated with google maps, it’s the Trip Advisor of vegan.

The crux of your writing whilst sounding reasonable initially, did not really sit perfectly with me after some time. Someplace throughout the sentences you actually managed to make me a believer unfortunately just for a short while. I still have a problem with your leaps in logic and one might do well to fill in all those gaps. In the event you actually can accomplish that, I would certainly be amazed.
